Whirlpool Ensuring Commercial Insurance In Place

As part of the insurance auditing process and with the goal of being Sarbanes-Oxley compliant, Whirlpool needs to ensure that each service company has a valid commercial insurance policy in effect over the course of their agreement term.

Throughout the year Whirlpool receives mid-policy cancellation notices for service companies, often due to non-payment of the premium.  Frequently, policies expire in the middle of the service agreement term.  In the event Whirlpool does receive a cancellation notice, an email is sent to the service company notifying the company that their account with Whirlpool will be cancelled if Whirlpool does not receive a reinstatement certificate or a valid certificate of insurance within 30 days of the email.
