Expert Protection Program Change Update
As has been reported, effective November 10, 2008 the prices of N.E.W./WaCA administered service contracts substantially increased. The new 5 year Major Appliance service plan was nearly doubled from it’s original price.
Expert Protection has moved to a new service plan administrator. The new on-line sales system will be live in your Brand Source Backroom December 1, 2008. Expert Protection pricing with the new administrator is posted in your Backroom under the Expert Protection Information button near the bottom right corner of the screen. You may also request it by emailing info@expertprotection.com. There is a small price increase of only $2.00 per contract.
Members still have access to the Expert Protection N.E.W/WaCA web site to look up past service plans. If you wish to continue to purchase these plans at the double rate you may do so. This of course is not recommended. Members instead are encouraged to hold their sales and enter them through the new site as soon as it is up.
Also, as announced recently, N.E.W./WaCA has established new service rates for members who wish to continue to service their customers. To view the new rate schedule click here. N.E.W./WaCA will be sending all servicing dealers an addendum detailing the new rate structure that must be signed and returned to N.E.W./WaCA. It was previously that the new rates would automatically go into effect in the interim. This is no longer the case. SERVICING DEALERS MUST RETURN THE ADDENDUM IN ORDER TO BE REFERRED SERVICE CALLS. Agreeing to this rate places members at the top of the referral list. Other servicers will only be dispatched in the event that the failed product is located in a ZIP code that the member does not service based on the information provided in the Servicer Agreement.
