Expert Protection will have a small price increase effective March 1, 2010. The increase is $1.50 on the 1 piece, 5 year plan and $4.00 on the 2 piece, 5 year plan. These two plans account for approximately 70% of members sales so the impact should be minimal. Other SKUs increased more significantly, with some decreased. The price changes were limited to appliance plans and did not affect consumer electronics plans. Other changes include increased margins on the suggest retail prices.
nExpert Protection has also added new categories to ensure that dealers have plans that fit the needs of every consumer. New plans include the following:
nSpecialty LCD Televisions
nThese plans, available in 2, 3 and 5 year DOP terms, are designed to cover high end LCD sets from $10,000.00 to $20,000.00 retail.
nCombination Appliances-COMMERCIAL
nPreviously Expert Protection plans were not available on combination appliances, for example stacked laundry units. That has now changed with the addtion of 1, 2, 3 and 4 year DOP plans for this category.
